Canva is an amazing tool if you're just starting your business. You are able to create some beautiful logos and labels for free using its features.

You will note that some features in Canva require a premium subscription to the platform. If you wish to use these features, you will need to subscribe.

We love to receive your designs for printing. To assist with this process, please follow the brief tips below:

Choose a template or start from scratch

Once you sign in, you will see that you can search Canva's extensive design library, or you can create your own new design.

Once you have settled on a template or created a new design, you will need to size it to the desired final size of your label. We recommend using mm.

You will need to ensure that you include a 2mm bleed. Bleed is the background colour or pattern that will exceed the actual size of the label. Anything within the bleed will not actually be printed, but it will ensure that the edge of your labels do not get cut off in the printing process.

For example, if you require a 50mm square label, you will need to make your label 52mm high x 52mm wide. If your background colour is yellow, ensure that the yellow colour fills the ensure background. Any text or design should be included only within the 50mm square, not the bleed.

You can click the 'FILE' button in the top left hand corner of the screen and check the option 'Show print bleeds'

Use high resolution images

If you are importing your own images into the design, you will need to ensure that they are of a high quality. If they are not, the final print will be blurry.

The images that Canva uses in its templates are very high quality, so you do not need to worry about this if you are using their designs.

Make a note of the fonts used

When designing, please make a note of the fonts that you have used.

This will ensure that when we receive your file, we are able to use the same fonts as you.
